Francois Payard is a very well-known pastry chef and the genius behind the “macaron donut.”
“[Francois] has been inspired a lot lately with the American food trend of ‘hybrids’, and wanted to experiment with it while still staying true to his French roots,” a representative for Payard says.
Payard created this new desert to celebrate Macaron day which is March 20. These beautiful looking treats will make your mouth water in anticipation!
Also, participating bakeries will give a donation for every macaron purchased to City Harvest, which fights hunger in New York City.
