Research increasingly shows that drinking alcohol in moderation can have some pretty awesome health benefits, including better heart and brain health. In fact, moderate drinking has been associated with a 29% lower risk of being diagnosed with coronary heart disease, and being 23% less likely to develop Alzheimer’s disease..
The key of course is moderate drinking. Weekend binges won’t do any good at all. And not all alcohol is created equal – clear spirits are the healthiest choice, closely followed by wine.
