In 1961, the Beatles did a Valentine’s Day show in Liverpool at the Cassanova Club. Paul sang Wooden Heart – an Elvis tune – and wore a wooden heart on his jacket’s lapel embroidered with the names John, Paul, George, and Ringo. At the end of their set they raffled off the wooden heart. The winner got a kiss from Paul as well.

Happy Valentine’s Day ┬áto you! And all the wooden hearts.
