200 Tips, Techniques, and Recipes for Natural Beauty

200 tips book cover

200 Tips, Techniques, and Recipes for Natural Beauty got us very excited when it showed up at our door awhile ago.

It’s a great looking book.

We love making our own beauty products and we absolutely love 200 Tips, Techniques, and Recipes for Natural Beauty by Shannon Buck.

It’s a perfect guide for us when we’re feeling creative.

This is, perhaps, the ultimate guide in making safe, clean products at home.

Full of Clean Beauty Tips & Tricks

200 tips back cover

Not only is the book packed with recipes for everything from body butter to heel cream, it’s also stuffed to the brim with awesome tips that make the whole creative process easier including:

  • How to select your ingredients. Shannon steers you round the pitfalls of buying ingredients to make sure you make the best choices.
  • How to find tools and supplies. The best news is that she tends to work with equipment you already have – in your kitchen!

Then the rest is broken down into hair care, facial care, body care and perfumes/aromatherapy.

It’s easy to find something you really want, and the recipes are logical and straightforward.

Green Beauty Complexity Quandry

clean beauty recipes

The only downside of Sharon’s recipes is that some of them involve a lot of ingredients, in fact, some of them may rival the worst excesses of the beauty industry with a dozen or more ingredients at each stage.

This means it can be quite time consuming to work on some of the recipes and… at least in the first instance, buying the ingredients can work out expensive too. Complexity is not always a good thing for your wallet.
