Tom’s of Maine has decided to take a stand and reduce the amount of waste that we all create.
They turned their researcher’s and resource’s attention to the humble toothpaste tube.
With more than a billion tubes a year hitting landfills in America alone, this is not an insignificant area of waste.
So, Tom’s of Maine’s recyclable design for toothpaste tubes is a big deal. A big enough deal for Time magazine to make them one of their top 100 inventions of the year, in fact.
We’re expecting Colgate-Palmolive to incorporate this tech in all their brands soon.
Recycling is one area that we can all do better in and you might want to check out our favorite zero waste stores to instantly make a difference.
